 SW1 Forensics

Independent Forensic Experts. Specialising in all aspects of Road Traffic Collison investigation and reconstruction.

Collision Reconstruction

Both desktop analysis and full reconstruction services are offered, to determine causes and contributing factors in a collision, delivering an accurate basis for the assessment of liability.  Preparation of forensic reports for use in Criminal or Civil Courts.

Vehicle Examination

Thorough forensic examination of the vehicles involved (cars, large goods vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles), focusing on key factors such as mechanical condition, extent of damage, impact dynamics, speed, seatbelt usage, lighting and vehicle data recovery when possible.

Scene Survey

Often invaluable for assessing sight lines, identifying highway defects and obstructions, and evaluating factors such as time of day/year and road layout.  If instructed soon after the collision, evidence of the collision can often still be present at the scene.

Video Analysis

Video clarification and enhancement, preparation of PDF 'picture books' and full forensic analysis of video footage.  Recordings from vehicles and fixed CCTV camara installations can be used to analyse position, speed and time.

Visualisation

Describing an out-of-control vehicle in a report can often fall short of conveying the full picture. Using schematic illustrations to depict the vehicle’s likely movements provides essential clarity.

Scanning & 3D Modelling

Advanced 3D laser scanning technology and photogrammetric models enable an accurate and readily understandable visual depiction of the damage to a vehicle or a collision scene to be presented.
